Auburn university psychology graduate programs
The MS in ABA is a full-time non-thesis program requiring six consecutive semesters of full-time coursework 24 semester hours and practicum training 21 semester hours. All students complete a capstone research project.
Course and credit-hour requirements for the program total 45 hours. The non-thesis M. I-O Psychology focuses on understanding, predicting, and modifying behavior in organizational settings, typically, but not limited to, work environments.
The M. This degree does not require research or a thesis, and students participate in applied opportunities and internships. The Clinical Psychology PhD program uses a scientist-practitioner training model that blends basic and applied research with clinical practice.
Typically, the program requires five years at Auburn in course work, individualized research, and practicum experiences. In addition, a one-year full-time internship at an APA-approved program is required. Students enrolled in the Clinical Psychology PhD program complete a sequence of departmental core courses providing a foundation in psychology on which specialization is based.

While graduate students work closely with their mentors, the doctoral students in all programs come to know each other very well and form personal and professional relationships. These begin with the first-year experience, during which core courses are taken by students in all three programs and continue in many ways throughout graduate school.
Students are exposed to a blend of didactic, practical, and scholarly activities that can be tailored to provide a broad education. Students become actively involved in research early in their first year, often culminating in thesis or dissertation projects.
In addition, all first-year students are supported as graduate teaching assistants, and continued support is provided for those students meeting program milestones.
